The warm croissants and spacious room made our stay delightful, especially after a long day of travel. The attentive service during dinner truly enhanced our experience.

The double room was exceptionally comfortable with cozy bedding. Everything felt clean and well-presented. There were plenty of little touches like extra towels and toiletries. I liked that it was spacious enough to move around, but it did feel a bit outdated in decor. The heating worked perfectly, and I had all the hot water I needed. Just wish the breakfast portions had been a bit larger to match the cozy vibe.

cozy common areas, personalized services by owners, unique structural character
The noise from the road is unbearable at night!!! Parking is a hassle, especially when you're left circling the block for a spot. The WiFi could use a complete overhaul!!!

Charming atmosphere and attentive service
I had a lovely one-night stay in a comfortable double room, where the warm hospitality from the owners really made the experience special. The breakfast was a highlight, featuring freshly baked croissants and a variety of organic juices. The inviting lounge areas were great for relaxing, creating a cozy environment to unwind after the day. I would have preferred larger portion sizes for breakfast.

Highly recommend for food lovers
The food here was excellent, really better than expected. Had the fillet steak for dinner and let me tell you, it was like pure magic on a plate.
Bit pricey but still justified for what you get.

I had a lovely overnight stay at the Eskdale. The double room exceeded my expectations, offering a comfortable bed and spacious feel. The staff were friendly and attentive, making check-in a breeze. Dinner at the hotel stood out as exceptional. I indulged in haggis and pork, both flavorful and generous portions. Breakfast was good, featuring a variety of options, but I found the portion sizes a bit small for my liking. While the food quality shone, the WiFi left much to be desired. Connectivity in the room was nearly nonexistent, which made planning my day a bit challenging. The location was perfect, right in the heart of Langholm with easy access to local attractions. Parking had some limitations, but it was manageable.
